A pilgrimage to the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Moscow made 1.5 million people

Moscow. July 6. INTERFAX – the Total number of faithful who came to worship brought from Italy the relics of St. Nicholas, reached a half million people.

This is the figure cited Thursday the headquarters for the organization of pilgrimages to the Shrine. Only the day before, July 5, to the relics it is more than 50 thousand people.

According to mid day, the estimated time spent in the queue to the Shrine today will be 10 hours.

The relics of Saint Nicholas for the first time in 930 years left the city of Bari, located in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour for 45 days. A week later, on 13 July, they celebrate in Petersburg.
