Foreign Minister of Serbia said that the country does not accept the dilemma between Russia and the EU

BELGRADE, 4 Aug – RIA Novosti. The policy of Belgrade is to not be faced with a choice — either Russia or the EU, and that it manages, said the first Deputy Prime Minister and foreign Minister of the Republic, Ivica Dacic.

“We were able in the last five years to withstand all kinds of pressure, to remain on European path and not to spoil relations with our friends – Russia and China. The essence of wise policy is to be guided by the interests of Serbia are not to be faced with a dilemma: EU or Russia”, — quotes the press service of the Ministry Dacic.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic added that Belgrade is a European way, but “also clear our relations with Russia, whose support is key for Serbia’s territorial integrity”.

On Tuesday, Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin handed Dacica congratulations from the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in connection with re-appointment to the post of first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of foreign Affairs of the country.
