MEXICO city, June 24 â€“ RIA Novosti. A group of alleged supporters of President Nicolas Maduro made the Friday attack on the Parliament building, injuring four people and causing material damage, said the opposition-controlled national Assembly in a communiquÃ©.
Parliament acts against the government Maduro, in particular against the convening of a constituent Assembly for drafting amendments to the Constitution, scheduled for July 30.
“In the health care services of the Parliament received four wounded officers,” the statement reads.
Employees of the Parliament held a peaceful protest against the constituent Assembly next to the Parliament, when they were attacked, the report said. A group of people tried to break down the door of the main entrance to the building, they used firecrackers and in their hands were sticks and stones.
In Venezuela since early April, are mass protests after the Supreme court’s decision to severely limit the power of opposition in the National Assembly. The decision was reversed, but opposition supporters took to the streets demanding the resignation of the members of the court and the holding of early elections and against the constituent Assembly, considering it an attempt to change the Constitution. According to the latest data, the death toll has reached 75 people.
