Orel Archdiocese urges law enforcement to find the author of a fake story with a jeep Bishop

Moscow. May 30. INTERFAX – Orel Archdiocese encourages law enforcement agencies to intervene in the situation with a statement released on behalf of Bishop and Livenskogo maloarkhangel Nektarios in connection with the situation with his SUV.

“We hope that law enforcement will be able to identify the author of the “letter”, committed forgery of an official document on behalf of the diocesan Bishop sends it to the media with an anonymous e-mail addresses”, – reads the statement of the information Department of the Archdiocese.

Earlier the newspaper “the Oryol news” reported that Bishop Nectarios owns a costly jeep, but later issued a statement in which he allegedly accused the journalists of lying and promised to prosecute on charges of insulting the feelings of believers.

In turn, the head of information-analytical Department of the Archdiocese of Orel Yevgeny Borisov said the portal “Interfax-Religion” that the published statement “is a forged document” and the jeep to the Bishop gave the agricultural holding, which operates in the area Livenskaya diocese and invests in the development of the region.

While in the consistent Department of the Archdiocese said that the statement by Bishop Nectarios was not made, and neither in private nor in an official manner to the editor or other contact was going.

“Moreover, published in the media is “fake” even by their appearance does not meet the requirements of the documents adopted in Livenskaya diocese,” the statement says.
