Moscow. May 26. INTERFAX – Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to France on may 29, will visit the Russian spiritual and cultural center, which was opened last year, said the Putin’s assistant Yuri Ushakov.
“All the proceedings in connection with the construction of this center was located in a field of constant attention of our President. Naturally, he needs to visit this center”, – said Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
According to him, the President will visit a cultural centre in Paris after talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
He reminded that access to the opening in the Palais Vladimir Putin invited the previous President of France Francois Hollande. “But according to the known circumstances of this trip did not take place”, – said the assistant to the President.
Vladimir Putin was planning to visit France on a visit last October and among other things, to participate in the opening of the Russian spiritual and cultural center.
Vladimir Putin himself later explained that the visit to Paris was postponed including at the initiative of the French side and stressed that President Francois Hollande he had a good personal relationship.
In turn, Mr Hollande shortly before his visit said that he doubted the feasibility of the meeting with his Russian counterpart during his upcoming visit to Paris. The French President wondered, “will this meeting is useful and whether it can have any impact” in light of recent events around Syria.
In result the Russian delegation at the opening ceremony of the centre was headed by the Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky.
