The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine made changes to some legislative acts concerning the protection of Polesov under the framework Convention on the protection and sustainable development of the Carpathians.
For a bill No. 4480 voted 245 deputies in the plenary session on Tuesday.
According to the law, in the territory prelesnik nature monuments shall be prohibited any logging, hunting and any other activities that threaten the conservation of forests and leads to degradation or a change in their primary condition.
On-site prelesnik nature monuments shall be prohibited to all types of logging, including sanitary cutting, forming and improvement of forests, removal of clutter, in addition to sitting line features and cutting of individual trees during fire fighting.
Also prohibits the construction of buildings, laying paths, linear and other objects of transport and communication, livestock grazing, industrial logging nedrivning forest products, transportation vehicles, excluding public roads and vehicles of operative and special services.
