The government approved the decision on liquidation of the state sanitary and epidemiological service.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has cancelled the decision on reorganization of the State sanitary and epidemiological service by joining the State service for food safety and consumer protection and adopted the decision on its liquidation.
The corresponding decree of March 29, 2017 No. 348 published on the Government portal.
In particular, the government in pursuance of the resolution of the Kyiv appeal administrative court dated 8 February 2016 reversed the decision on the reorganization of the state sanitary and epidemiological service by joining the State service for food safety and consumer protection.
“To eliminate the State sanitary-epidemiological service”, – the document says. At the same time, the State service for food safety and consumer protection is entrusted with tasks and functions of state policy realization in the sphere of sanitary and epidemic wellbeing of the population and to exercise control (supervision) over observance of requirements of sanitary legislation (except functions on realization of state policy in the field of epidemiological surveillance (monitoring) and in the field of occupational health and responsibilities for implementation of dosimetric control of workplaces and radiation doses of workers).
The Cabinet also decided to form the Commission on liquidation of State sanitary-epidemiological service. “To approve the Chairman of the Commission, the head of the State service on safety of foodstuffs and consumer protection Paw Vladimir Ivanovich”, – stated in the document.
