Yelena Isinbayeva will leave the post of head of the Supervisory Council of the Russian anti-doping Agency (RUSADA).
Informationabout the removal of the head of the Supervisory Board was voiced by Vice Prime Minister of Russia Vitaly Mutko. This is with reference to the Russian media reports “Диалог.UA”.
Note that the resignation Isinbayeva was initiated by the world anti-doping Agency (WADA). It was one of the requirements for the full recovery of the status of RUSADA.
Mutko said that, removing from office Isinbaeva, WADA wants to give more independence to the organization. And while the Kremlin says that Isinbayeva is not dependent on anyone, she is double Olympic champion and member of the International Olympic Committee, however, the Agency believes that the Chairman of the Supervisory Board shall not represent a settlor who is the Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation.
Note that Yelena Isinbayeva is the favorite of Russian President Vladimir Putin after its suspension due to a positive doping sample he gave to her cry on your shoulder.
