Erdogan: Turkey and the United States intend to cooperate even more closely in the framework of international organizations

In Washington there was a meeting of heads of Turkey Recep Erdogan and the United States Donald trump. After negotiations the Turkish President said that the contacts with the Syrian branches of the terrorist PKK – YPG and PYD unacceptable and called for cooperation between the countries within international organizations.

Erdogan stressed that Turkish-American relations based on democratic values and mutual benefit. This is with reference to AA reports “Диалог.UA”.

The President of Turkey noted that a more robust relationship between the U.S. and Turkey will bring more stability to the world. According to him, it is planned to strengthen cooperation in the framework of such international organizations as the UN, NATO and the G20. He added that he believes that his visit to the US capital will be a “historic turning point and will pave the way for new achievements”.

According to the President of Turkey, Ankara is interested in the economic, trade, investment, defense and energy cooperation with Washington. In addition, the authorities of the two countries intend to work together to combat terrorism in the region. Erdogan said that the United States will help to establish peace.
