The Parliament of St. Petersburg withdrew from the agenda the question of the referendum on Isaac

Saint-Petersburg. May 17. INTERFAX – Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg at the plenary session on Wednesday ruled out from the agenda the question of the referendum on St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the correspondent of “Interfax”.

To remove the issue from the agenda was made by MP Borys Ivchenko (“United Russia”). It was supported by 38 deputies. Debate on this question was not provided.

“Any member of the legislative Assembly may propose to make, or to remove from the agenda any issue,” – said “Interfax” the press-service of city Parliament.

The question of the referendum was included in the agenda at the Committee meeting on the legislation on Friday. While the legal Department of the legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg gave a negative opinion on the referendum about Isaakii.

The opposition has scheduled a noon protest outside Parliament.
