Patriarch Kirill believes that the pursuit of publishing for profit, you can identify new Pushkin

*** He urged support young talented writers

Moscow. May 12. INTERFAX – the Situation in the publishing sphere in Russia bothers to get talented writers, it should be changed, says the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill.

“The question is not that we don’t have a new Pushkin, Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Parsnips. We have them. The question is how to show these writers the world how to make their work the property of the whole society,” – said the Patriarch at the ceremony of awarding the winners of the Patriarchal literary prize in the temple of Christ the Savior.

According to him, the talented authors there are in any era, it is important not to view these talents and writing community, editors, publishers “must try to notice the talent, support them, give the opportunity to publish and to tell about them to readers”.

“Today, aspiring authors have to face many difficulties in publishing their work, many publishers simply refuse the publication of the work, referring to the laws of the market, which primarily require that will be successfully sold to make a profit,” stated the Primate.

“The unfortunate tendency to make money on the literature leads to the fact that most publishers are not interested in real artistic quality works, and how it is similar to one of cash’s novels, to continue this series of bestsellers. Such market filters to be a huge obstacle to authentic and truly talented authors,” he said.

The Patriarch urged to consider the fiction in the country “regained its position, so that people began to read not only the texts that are dynamic, often of a criminal plot, but the texts that contain deep thoughts created by the master of the word.”

“The challenge is to create mechanisms, tools, find some devices that enhance our spiritual sight and giving us the opportunity to find talent, to admire these talents to feed off of thought and beauty of style”, – he stressed.
