Canadian fighter jets as well as the US air force, was accompanied Thursday by the Russian Tu-95 bombers approached the Northern coast of the country in the area of Alaska, the TV channel CTV with reference to the command of the aerospace defense of North America (NORAD).

The day before, Fox News channel reported that American fighter jets “escorted Russian bombers during 12 minutes” off the coast of Alaska. CNN stressed that the Russian aircraft was in international airspace. On the interception were raised two fighters F-22 and the plane radiolakatsionnyh early detection E-3 that made it into “professional and safe manner.”

Later in the Russian defense Ministry confirmed that two Tu-95MS bomber during an air patrol in the area of Alaska was accompanied by the F-22 for the U.S. air force.
