Moscow. April 4. INTERFAX – Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill on Tuesday morning made funeral Liturgy for all the deceased in St. Petersburg.
“This terrorist act is a challenge not only power, not only to law enforcement and those called to monitor the safety of the citizens, a terrorist act is a challenge to us, all the people,” he said before the memorial service in the lower Church of the Transfiguration of Christ the Savior.
According to Patriarch, “we must further understand the importance of preserving the peaceful life of our country’s independence, we’re even more aware of our common responsibility for the future of our people.”
The Patriarch stressed that “no flirting with evil can not be <… > even when it is us in very respectable form, <…> the evil of the devil, and the devil brings death.”
The Prelate also prayed that “martyrdom was opened to the dead the gate of the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Despite working day, a memorial service brought together several dozen people, among them – the famous TV presenter Andrey Malakhov.
On Monday afternoon in St. Petersburg in the train on the stretch between the metro station “Technological Institute” and “Sennaya Ploschad” the explosion occurred. As a result, 11 people were killed, dozens were injured.
