Saratov customs stopped the import of banned Islamic books from Saudi Arabia

Moscow. 3 Mar. INTERFAX – Saratov customs officers revealed the fact of import into Russia of extremist religious literature.

During the inspection of international mail, arrived in Russia from Saudi Arabia, was discovered and seized three books on the Russian language included in the Federal list of extremist materials, said on Friday the press-service of the Volga customs Department.

These books cover the basics of Islam and life of prophet Muhammad. One of them, “On the way to the Koran”, written by Azerbaijani philosopher Elmir Kuliyev, was awarded at the time of the medal of the Council of Muftis of Russia “For spiritual unity”.

Criminal case concerning an administrative offense under article 16.3 of the administrative code.
