MOSCOW, 1 Mar — RIA Novosti. The Ministry of migration of Iraq took 26 thousand internally displaced persons from the Western Mosul for the last ten days, said the Minister for migration Iraq Jasim Mohammed al-Jafe.
As reported in posted on the Agency’s website the statement, the total number of people who were forced to leave Mosul and El Hawija, where fighting is going on, after the start of operations to liberate Mosul amounted to 251 thousand people.
Al Jaffe also added that the Ministry has provided refugees in the quick help in the form of food and medicines, and provided housing. Refugees were placed in several camps near the town of El-Kayar to the South of Mosul.
