The question of the transfer of the Church of the Andronikov monastery in Moscow is not worth it – the Patriarchy

Moscow. 16 Feb. INTERFAX – Raise the issue of the transfer of the Church of the Andronikov monastery in Moscow is premature, said the Moscow Patriarchate, not excluding this in the future.

“Now there are other issues, but the question of Andronikov monastery is not worth it”, – told the correspondent of “Interfax-Religion” on Thursday, the head of the legal service of the Patriarchate abbess Xenia (Chernega).

She noted that in the future the Church will request the transfer of this complex, “but when she applied for this complex is unknown, it is not the nearest future.”

“No negotiations on this score is not” – said the abbess.

Andronikov monastery is a cultural heritage site of Federal significance. Its territory is a Museum of ancient Russian culture. Andrei Rublev.

In February 2013 the Prosecutor General’s office on the audit stated that the monastery contrary to article 51 of the town planning code and security obligation of illegally constructed building of the restaurant and in the Church of the Archangel Michael (XVII century) hosts business meetings and conferences.
