The Syrian delegation next week will visit Russia to exchange experience in the field of religious education

Damascus. 6 Feb. INTERFAX – Russia and Syria intend to share experience in the sphere of religious education, said Monday the Minister of religious Affairs of Syria Mohammad Abdelsattar al-said at a meeting with Russian state Duma deputies.

“Between Russia and Syria is an educational exchange experience in the sphere of religion. Next week our delegation will visit Chechnya, Tatarstan and Moscow”, – said M. Abdelsattar al-said.

During the trip, he said, will exchange experience in the fight against radicalism, extremism and terrorism.

In turn, the head of the parliamentary group for the protection of Christian valuables Sergey Gavrilov has underlined that “it would be useful to use the unique experience of Syria for the protection of traditional spiritual values”. “Cooperation and interaction of Christianity and Islam is a source not of weakness but of strength of our countries”, – said Gavrilov.

State Duma delegation is in Syria on a visit, during which meetings will be held, including with the leadership of the country.
