The new Mercedes-AMG E63 property-the fastest wagon in the world, hitting 0-62 mph in 3.5 sec in the range topping out with the all-wheel drive system 4matic+ sign.
It’s 0.1 sec slower than its saloon Equivalent, while the fastest of the Audi RS6 avant can cover 0-62 mph sprint in 3.7 seconds.
Makes its global debut at the Geneva motor show, with UK sales starting in April, the E63 sedan will be sold in two versions: E63 4matic and estate and the E63 with the 4matic+ Property, which is expected to cost around £80,000 and £90,000 respectively.
Using the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine as the sedan, E63 4matic standard and+ has 563bhp and 552lb ft of torque. However, the most popular model is expected to be in the range-topping E 63 with all-wheel drive 4matic, which added turbocharger boost pressure and other power-boosting settings that allows you to produce 603bhp and 626lb feet.
The engine also has a cylinder deactivation system fitted as standard that allows to increase the effectiveness, claims Mercedes-AMG. When driving in the city, four cylinders are disabled between 1000 and 3250rpm when the engine switches to comfort mode.
As in other recent AMG models, including the E63 interior, the driver can select four driving modes: comfort, sport, Sport Plus and individual. With 4matic+ version also comes with a fifth driving mode, race, which is specially designed for driving on the circuits.
On E63 property receives a nine-speed automatic transmission Speedshift mct with so-called wet start-off clutch and steering wheel shift paddles. Further developments of the transmission includes a mechanical differential lock for E63 4matic and and fast-acting electronic differential lock for e 63 4matic and s+. Both models will only be available with a performance car AMG 4matic-wheel Drive+ all-wheel drive that offers a fully variable distribution of drive between front and rear wheels for the first time. On E63 4matic and+ property Hits 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and with all-wheel drive 4matic achieves the sprint in 3.5 seconds.
Despite the four-wheel drive, AMG offers the so-called mode drive 4matic and s+. Activated shift paddles, it requests the all-wheel drive system to deliver a drive solely to the rear wheels remains on until the driver turns it off.
Echoing salon, E63, models styling intended for setting it further apart from normal models E-class estate than the previous generation. It is also 27mm wider wheel arches placed a big track and large wheels on the front axle. Since the launch, with all-wheel drive system 4matic are available onlyas in ‘Edition 1’ special model. It is gray or black paint, Night package, AMG and light gray stripes above the side sills. It also gets 20-inch wheels, painted in Matt black with gloss rims.
