Photos of a prototype LG G6: slim frame and dual camera

Last week, the network appeared the first image of the LG G6, and now we have the pleasure to take a look at a prototype of the upcoming flagship. Of course, the final version of the smartphone will be slightly different from the submitted version, but some conclusions can be drawn already now.

The rumors are true

In the case of the prototype does not even hint at modular design — metal frame is shared only band antennas, and the holes in the rear cover is required for testing. Manufacturer decided to abandon this concept after the failure of the sales of LG G5. Matte plastic on the back side of the test sample LG G6 replaced the glossy surface of the metal (although some sources reported a glass back), but the dual camera and power button with fingerprint scanner will remain in its rightful place.

Looks like LG really pays a lot of attention to the safety of the battery — the prototype of the battery case is connected to some sensors (or electrodes?). On the bottom is a speaker, a symmetric connector USB Type-C and a microphone. Apparently, the 3.5 mm headphone Jack on top left.

We already know that LG G6 will get a 5.7-inch display QHD+ resolution of 2880×1440 and an aspect ratio of 18:9 (or 2:1). It’s not like in the prototype panel has rounded edges, although in the final version the company will get rid of the sharp edges in analogy with Xiaomi Mi MIX. The framework will also become noticeably thinner, but this has not prevented LG to include your logo on the front panel. As expected, due to the elongated shape of the screen size the flagship not much different from the 5.3-inch predecessor. In addition, it will protect from water.
The announcement in February

Presentation LG G6 will take place on 26 February, before the opening of the exhibition Mobile World Congress 2017. Rumor has it that because of Samsung’s flagship will not get the latest chipset Snapdragon 835 and will run on Snapdragon 821.
