Magas. January 10. INTERFAX – IN Ingushetia, built the first mosque with a minaret resembling a medieval observation tower, well-preserved in the mountains of Republic, have informed “Interfax” on Tuesday the representative of the press service of the head region.

“The mosque, in which both can stand up to the mosque about 140 people, was built in front of the terminal building on the means of philanthropist from the Ingush village of Surkhakhi of the Nazran district,” – said the Agency interlocutor.

According to him, only the construction of the temple and arrangement of the adjacent territory spent about 15 million rubles of extrabudgetary funds, of which 600 thousand will be directed to a decorative lighting of the building.

“The temple was built on the initiative of the head of Ingushetia to create comfortable conditions for the departing and mourners, to prayers,” – said the Agency interlocutor.

The minaret is shaped like a medieval observation tower, located in the mountains of Ingushetia, but most of its walls is a stained glass that adds modernity and at the same time not detracting from the monumentality of the structure, say in the government of the Republic.

The capacity of the mosque will acquire special significance in the days of Hajj: the first year of the airport “Magas” committed direct flights to the Holy places of Mecca and Medina.

Still for the needs of passengers-Muslims seeking to pray at the airport, was used adapted room. Quite cramped were the conditions in which it was accomplished ablution.

The construction of the mosque began in June last year.
