Samsung Gear IconX, for example, equipped with a fitness tracker, Sony Xperia Ear perform the role of a personal assistant, and running on Indiegogo gadget Mymanu Click able to translate live speech on any of the available 37 languages and dialects.

How it works

Headphones Mymanu Click appeared in the summer, when the project team took to Kickstarter. The first campaign was followed by a second, and although the main fundraiser on Indiegogo is over, the manufacturer continues to take orders. Novelty is equipped with Bluetooth 4.1 and supports the aptX codec so that users can listen to music without loss of quality. Outer touch surface of the headphone (with logo) allows you to pause playback touch to switch between tracks with a swipe. By long pressing on the device starts listening for voice commands, but its main feature is not in it.

Using the built-in microphone Mymanu Click listens to the speaker and translates live speech in real time. Headphones support Russian, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Polish, Greek, Norwegian and other languages. They will be available initially. The gadget will inform you about incoming calls and SMS depending on the notification is activated, the backlight of one of the 16 colors. Battery capacity 120 mAh battery provides up to 7 hours of battery life. Charging is carried out in the company’s case with its own battery 8800 mAh (in the final version may be different). It is also suitable for charging mobile — on the body there is a USB port.

In his debut campaign on Kickstarter, the developers mentioned a paid translation service, on Indiegogo but not a word about it. It was initially reported that after the free year of access to all the functions will cost approximately $1 per month, but even without a subscription Mymanu Click will be able to work as a translator (possibly without the updates of the engine or with some other restrictions).

And how much?

Now headphones are available for $200 and the retail price Mymanu Click will be $300. Deliveries will begin in may 2017. Spring on Indiegogo appeared similar project wireless headset Pilot from Waverly Labs — it is available out of the box only five translation languages (Russian and Ukrainian promise to add later). The price of the devices are the same, however, with one Pilot headset music not normally listen to.
