MOSCOW, 3 Dec — RIA Novosti. The organizing Committee of the Eurovision song contest talks about a possible postponement of the competition in 2017 in Russia, according to German tabloid Bild, citing an unnamed source in the organizing Committeee. Scoreboardandd, however, says that the very fact of negotiations does not mean the transfer of activities to another country.
According to the newspaper, the decision to start the search for a new venue was made due to the fact that Kyiv still has not provided the administration music competition and financial guarantees.
Experts believe that the event will require expenditures in the amount of 25 million euros — this amount is currently unaffordable for the Ukrainian budget, writes Bild.

The situation was commented by the Deputy of Ukrainian Parliament Hanna Hopko. “Moving the ESC to another country would be a disaster for us”, — she said in an interview with the German edition. Earlier Ukrainian television reported about a possible postponement of the competition. On 28 November the Deputy head of the Kyiv city Council Alexey Reznikov said that such rumors have nothing to do with reality. Moreover, the representatives of the European broadcasting Union has assured the public that they are “satisfied with the steps taken to achieve positive progress.”
Ukraine has received the right to host “Eurovision-2017” after a victory in 2016, singer Jamala with a song “1944”. The organizing Committee has decided to hold a competition in Kiev, giving capital preference over the Dnieper (formerly Kiev) and Odessa.
