FBI gets new hacking powers

Congress failed to block a controversial amendment to rule 41 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure granting the FBI new hacking powers. The amendment allows judges to issue warrants for the FBI to hack into computers outside of their jurisdiction and also beyond the borders of the United States.
