Black Friday in the United States: shopping marathon started

The evening of thanksgiving, when some families have not yet finished with the festive dinner, people have already started to line up at the stores preparing for Black Friday sales.

Black Friday, day after thanksgiving, traditionally the beginning of the winter season shopping in the United States.

In recent years, the hype around Black Friday has intensified. Now it’s a four-day shopping marathon: Saturday and Sunday connect small local shops, and then comes Cyber Monday – the biggest day for online shopping.

Across the country, from Florida to Ohio and California, buyers lined up in advance in line at the store, planning to start thanksgiving with bargains.

On Thursday, the discount store Kmart opened its doors at 6 a.m., and many retailers, including JCPenney, Best Buy and Target, worked all day.

Flagship store Macy’s new York began sales on Thursday evening. According to the store, to open, at five o’clock, standing in the queue 16 000 people.

Many shopping centres open late on Thursday evening or early Friday morning.
