Vice-President of AVTOVAZ for external and internal communications, RAF Shakirov, who joined the company in August, resigned for medical reasons, said “RIA Novosti” with reference to the representative of the automaker. Who will be the new Vice-President for internal communications and whether Shakirov to return to his post after his recovery, Ilyinsky has not commented. He only said that while he will fulfil these responsibilities. “I don’t know, we’ll talk [about a replacement], probably,” said Shakirov.

RAF Shakirov worked in the office of the Vice-President of AVTOVAZ for three months. He joined the company on August 22. In the appointment Manager in AVTOVAZ President and CEO Nicolas Maure said Shakirov experience in the leadership of the media and its professional competence and communication “will provide a strong support to the brands of Lada and AVTOVAZ from Russian and foreign media”.

Shakirov previously worked as editor-in-chief of Newspapers Kommersant, Gazeta and Izvestia, the magazine The New Times, as well as editor in chief and CEO of news program “Vesti” channel “Russia”, the first editor-in-chief of magazine “Money”. From 2011 to 2012, he headed the website of “open government”, and then was project Director for international economic discussion club “Dialogues”.

Himself Nicolas Moore came to the plant in April 2016, succeeding BU Anderson, in which AVTOVAZ was in the loss (2015, the company suffered a net loss of 73.8 per bn).
