Ex-interior Minister of Yakutia pardoned

MOSCOW, Nov 19 — RIA Novosti. The investigation closed the criminal case against former interior Minister of Yakutia Yakov Stakhov, accused of abuse of power, according to the website SU IC of Russia in the region.

According to investigators, in 2007 at the request of the former head of the Republican interior Ministry Yakov Stakhov OJSC ALROSA as sponsorship allocated for the needs of the Agency two cars. One of them was put on balance of the Ministry of interior, and the second Mercedes — Stakhov gave the property to his relative.

In February 2012 Stakhov was called before the examining magistrate for arraignment. According to the agenda he had not appeared and disappeared from investigation authorities, in connection with which he was declared internationally wanted. Concerning it criminal case under article “abuse of power”, the court decided to remand. In October 2016 Stakhov came to the bodies of preliminary investigation and on the same day, was detained.

He admitted his guilt completely, gave detailed testimony on the circumstances of the offense. Given the voluntary surrender Stakhov in the bodies of preliminary investigation, a full admission of guilt the consequence of the decision to change his measure of restraint on recognizance not to leave and appropriate behavior.

“Completed investigation of the criminal case against former Minister of internal Affairs of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Yakov Stakhov in the abuse of power… having Considered the petition, the investigator took a decision on termination of criminal proceedings on non-rehabilitating basis”, — stated in the message.
