Moscow authorities began to pay compensation for the demolished squatter

The government of Moscow began the transfer of money capital to the prefectures for compensation for demolition to owners of illegally constructed buildings. This was announced on Friday, November 18, the press service of Department of economic policy and development of Moscow.

The first money was received by the Prefecture North-Western administrative district (SZAO), which on November 16 was listed 11,036 million rubles for compensation of LLC “Priroda-Ilal” for the demolition of buildings with an area 216,4 sq. m on Stroginskaya Boulevard.

The payment of compensation directly to the owner will be made after issue of the orders of the prefect, said the Department.

“The first wave” demolition of unauthorized construction was held in Moscow in February of this year, when the list of illegally constructed shopping points, then the number of 104. The “second wave” that took place in the summer, was eliminated another 107 buildings.

In early November, the Moscow government announced the continuation of the fight against unauthorized construction and added to the list to be demolished objects of another 43 buildings.
