In FSMTC called “exclusive” event with the Russian Board over Switzerland

The head of the Federal service for military-technical cooperation (FSMTC) Alexander Fomin called a case, accompanied by a Swiss fighter plane with the Kremlin pool, unusual, reports “Interfax”.

“The case is unusual, not every aircraft was escorted. Not exactly a regular event,” — said Fomin. He did not assess the situation, but drew attention to the fact that the Swiss air force operated on its territory.

According to him, this case can be called “exclusive” because not every passenger plane is accompanied by military aircraft. “It is the norm to escort patrol aircraft, but not the norm at all,” — said Fomin.

As reported by journalists who flew to the APEC summit in Peru on the plane special flight detachment “Russia”, within a few minutes of their Board was accompanied by three fighters of the Swiss air force. The witnesses said that the fighters flew so close to the passenger plane that could be considered their hull numbers.

In the video, which was published by the special correspondent of the political Department of the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda” Dmitry Smirnov, it is possible to see how the Swiss fighter pilot is waving to journalists removing his hand.

At the same time the correspondent of “Interfax” reported that the commander of the crew explained to the passengers that this route “is a common practice”.
