SK in absentia, was charged with two Ukrainian commanders

MOSCOW, Nov 8 — RIA Novosti. Russia’s investigative Committee in absentia brought charges against two commanders of the armed forces of Ukraine involved in the attacks on the civilian population in the Donbass, told reporters acting head of the Department of interaction with mass media of the TFR Svetlana Petrenko.

Earlier it was reported that during the investigation the investigation established the involvement of the commander of the 10th independent mountain battalion of the Lieutenant Colonel Basil Supanich and commander of the 1st battalion of the 14th mechanized brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Prokopov artillery shelling of settlements.

“The evidence allowed in absentia to indict Sebenico and Prokopeva the statement of the use in armed conflict of means and methods prohibited by an international Treaty of the Russian Federation, that is, in committing crimes under part 3 of article 33, part 1 of article 356 of the criminal code,” — said Petrenko.

Special Department for war crimes in the Donbass was created in the structure of the TFR in 2014. Russian investigators have filed several dozen criminal cases. As suspects for him are, in particular, the Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and chief of staff Viktor Muzhenko.
