Egypt is planning the replacement of oil supplies from Saudi Aramco

ABU DHABI, Nov 8 — RIA Novosti/Prime. Egypt would enter the international market to replace the supply of oil from Saudi Aramco, will look for the best price, said the Minister of petroleum of Egypt Tarek El-Molla told reporters.

“We will enter the international market. Our actions will depend on the prices and possibilities. The case of the market… We’ll be look for suppliers on the greater good of Egypt and for the benefit of the Egyptian people,” the Minister said, commenting on the situation with Saudi Aramco.

He noted that the monthly Egypt imported from Saudi Aramco for about 1/3 of oil. He said he could not yet name the date of conclusion of the contract, it will depend on the proposed conditions.

“We are a big consumer, and we are dealing with all suppliers and manufacturers in the world, from all countries. We have no limits to what we need from the market”, — said the Minister, answering the question whether it can be a Russian company.

He stressed that Egypt a few years cooperating with Rosneft on crude oil supplies.

The Ministry of petroleum of Egypt on Monday confirmed the termination of deliveries of oil products to the country from Saudi Arabia indefinitely.
