Media: FBI gave a “high priority” to investigate the activities of the Clinton Foundation

MOSCOW, 3 Dec — RIA Novosti. The FBI, after two years of investigation into nonprofit humanitarian of the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton Foundation awarded him a “very high priority”, informs television channel Fox News, citing persons familiar with the investigation.

FBI agents interviewed many of the people in this case and even before the publication on WikiLeaks of letters related to the election campaign of Hillary Clinton, gathered a lot of evidence, said channel sources in law enforcement bodies. As part of the investigation authorities are trying to establish whether Clinton, who was then Secretary of state, the money for political favors for donors of the Fund.

“A flood of new information comes every day,” said one of the interlocutors of the channel, adding that some of these agents received from the WikiLeaks documents recently discovered new emails of former Secretary of state.

The sides of the channel stressed that the agents “actively and aggressively continue the work” and intend to re-contact the people whom have met before, some for the third time.

Earlier, the Washington Post reported that senior officials of the Ministry of justice prevented the FBI to conduct a more in-depth investigation of the activities of the Clinton Foundation. According to the newspaper, agents of the Bureau at the beginning of the year intended to test the Clinton Foundation in connection with the suspicion that, the Clintons could provide donors with charities special services in the field of politics.

The United States presidential election will be held on 8 November. The main contenders for the presidency are Republican Donald trump and the democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
