MOSCOW, October 28 — RIA Novosti. The compositions of the main and backup crews traveling to the international space station (ISS) in 2017 were approved by the interdepartmental Commission of the state Corporation (SC) “Rosatom”, told reporters Friday in a press-service of the Corporation.
“The interdepartmental Commission of the Russian space Agency approved the composition of the main (51/52, 52/53, 53/54, 54/55) and secondary (51/52, 52/53, 53/54, 54/55) crews long expeditions to the ISS in 2017”, — stated in the message.
Some of the crews will fly to the station, not three, as was customary before, and two by two. “Additional space” freed by the ships “the Union” after the reduction of Russian ISS crew.
The following year, on orbit should be sent: the crew members of the mission МКС51/52 Fyodor Yurchikhin (Roscosmos) and Jack Fisher (NASA), the crew of the mission of the ISS 52/53 part of: Sergei Ryazan (Roscosmos), Randolph Breznik (NASA) and Paolo Nespoli (ESA), the crew members of the mission 53/54 Alexander Misurkin (Roscosmos) and mark Vande Hai (NASA) and the crew of the ISS mission 54/55 part of: Alexander Skvortsov (Roscosmos), Scott tingle(NASA) and Norishige Kanai (JAXA).
As backup crews were approved: mission ISS 51/52: Sergei Ryazansky and Randolph Breznik for the mission 52/53: Alexander Misurkin, mark Vande Hai and Norishige Kanae for the mission of the ISS 53/54: Alexander Skvortsov and Scott tingle, as well as to the mission of the ISS 54/55: Anton shkaplerov (Roscosmos), Alexander Gerst (ESA) and Jeanette Epps (NASA).
