“Soyuz MS-02” crew has docked to ISS

Manned spacecraft “Soyuz MS-02” with a new crew, launched on 19 October at the rocket “Soyuz-FG” must October 21 docked to the International space station (ISS) in automatic mode, informed RIA Novosti the representative of the mission control Center (MCC).

Earlier it was reported that the state Commission, having considered the materials of the works on elimination of technical malfunction of manned spacecraft “Soyuz MS-02” (No. 732), chose the date of launch to the ISS on 19 October instead of September 23. The reason for the postponement of the launch system cable landing, which was clamped during the test, which caused the triggering of the instrumentation, which revealed the error. After resolving the problem, re-conducted full package testing of the entire ship.

Modification of Soyuz MS is the result of deep modernization of ships in the series “Soyuz TMA-M”. It differs from previous version new command and telemetry system capable of using relay satellites “Luch”, new rendezvous and docking “Rate-AT” and other equipment.
