Putin discussed by telephone with Assad a humanitarian pause in Aleppo

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin held on Wednesday a telephone conversation with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. This was reported to journalists the press-Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.

He said that during the conversation the parties discussed the situation around Aleppo in the context of the humanitarian pause, as well as in the development of the situation in Syria.

Information about a telephone conversation between the Russian and Syrian presidents comes on the background of the upcoming meeting in Berlin the leaders of Russia, France and Germany Vladimir Putin, Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel, where will be discussed the situation in Syria.

While in Berlin held a meeting in the Normandy format with participation of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine. It discusses the situation in Eastern Ukraine. Negotiations have been going on for more than four hours.
