U.S. citizens are allowed a duty-to bring Cuban tobacco and alcohol

The U.S. Treasury has canceled a number of restrictions against Cuba, said the Ministry document. So, Americans will be allowed without restrictions to bring in the personal Luggage of Cuba with local tobacco and alcohol, but for personal use only.

The abolition of the prohibitions would lead to “the strengthening of commercial activity between Cuba and the United States,” said U.S. Secretary of Commerce penny Pritzker.

In addition, the lifting of restrictions will enable the citizens of both countries to participate in joint medical research, and American companies to buy drugs in Cuba.

The amendments will enter into force on 17 October.

US President Barack Obama in March visited Cuba historic visit. It was the first trip of an American President to Cuba for 88 years. In 2014 Obama began the restoration of diplomatic relations with Cuba.
