MOSCOW, 12 APR — RIA Novosti. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on media reports about his appointment as assistant to the President on international issues instead of Yuri Ushakov, called the information rumors.
“No need to look for a black cat in a dark room – it’s not there. Rumors, rumors is pure rumor, so we can not comment”, — said Peskov told reporters.
About the possible resignation of Ushakov from his post reported in Wednesday’s newspaper “Kommersant”. Citing its own sources close to the presidential administration, as the reason for the publication pointed out the age of Ushakov, which next year will celebrate 70 years.
Yuri Ushakov holds the position of assistant to the President on foreign Affairs from 21 may 2012. Prior to that, he worked for four years as the Deputy chief of staff in Putin’s government, where he oversaw the international agenda of the head of the Cabinet.
