Russian President Vladimir Putin has drafted a decree on the resignation of Samara region Governor Nikolay Merkushkin. About it writes “Kommersant”, citing a local scientist Oleg Molchanov.
According to him, the decision of the head of state took a few days ago. It was not disclosed earlier due to the fact that the government failed to address the question of the candidacy of acting head of the region.
“The decree will be published tomorrow along with the view of acting. It will be the candidate of the “Rostec”, — said Molchanov. In comments to “Kommersant” he Gutenev stressed that he had “absolutely no information” about an upcoming appointment.
As said the head of the Executive Committee of the Samara branch of “United Russia” Maxim Matygin, the Governor has no problems interacting with the regional branch of the party. He assured that the rumors about the possible resignation of Governor Merkushkin appear with some frequency.
“Any signals from the Federal leadership of “United Russia” about some dissatisfaction with the actions of the Governor was not” — said Matygin.
Earlier, the CEC Chairman, Ella Pamfilova said on complaints that the electoral campaign in the Samara region. According to the head of the CEC, the acting Governor of the region Nikolay Merkushkin has put pressure on the territorial Commission and to intervene in the electoral process.
