The opposition Bloc won the case at the police

In 2015, the court found the actions of the territorial election Commission of Kyiv are illegal and has obliged to provide the report about the discrepancy in number of ballots. But the act was not compiled

On 6 October, the Shevchenkivsky district court of Kyiv invalidated the decision of the police investigator to close the criminal case on the fact of falsifications on elections to the city Council in 2015.

Filed a complaint with the Kyiv city organization of the Opposition Bloc, after 15 September, the investigator closed the case.

“The police closed the criminal proceedings, although for the year the law enforcement authorities to conduct proper investigations and have not figured out where the polling stations there was an additional two thousand ballots. Of course, we went to court, and he listened to our arguments, reopened the case. The police will have another chance to understand and yet to find the culprits in the appearance of “excess ballots”, – said the leader of the Kiev the Opposition Bloc Oleksandr Puzanov.

He recalled that in 2015, the court found the actions of the territorial election Commission of Kyiv are illegal and has obliged to provide the report about the discrepancy in number of ballots. But the act was never drafted.

The politician explained that the police conducting the investigation, questioned one witness – the Chairman of territorial election Commission of Kyiv – in fact the main suspect. Based on some of his testimony, the police concluded that the lack of evidence and closed the case.

“We had no illusions either in October 2015 or now. Despite all the rhetoric about fighting corruption and the desire to build a European legal society, the government continues to cheat its citizens, to falsify the results of their expression. The current composition of the Council has very low legitimacy because he was elected with flagrant violations. We are going to packages, possibly through an that the government has recognized these violations”, – said Alexander Puzanov.
