MOSCOW, 4 Jul – RIA Novosti. The Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky congratulated people’s artist of the USSR, Director Marlen Khutsiyev 91-year anniversary, noting that each picture wizard “carries a range of meanings addressed not only to the viewer but also to the era”.
“You have made a tremendous contribution to the national cinema as an outstanding Director, writer and actor. For many generations of inhabitants of our country are reviewing Your masterpieces from time to time genuinely admiring Your versatile talent. Each of Your picture invariably carries a range of meanings addressed not only to the viewer but also to the era”, — said in a congratulatory telegram the Minister.
Medina said that in his works, he subtly noted, “the relationship of the individual and society, focusing on human dignity and morality.”
People’s artist of USSR, laureate of the State prize of Russia, Soviet and Russian film Director, screenwriter, actor, educator, was born in Tiflis (Tbilisi) 4 Oct 1925. Khutsiev shot of the iconic Soviet movies — “Zastava Ilyich” (1964), “Spring on Zarechnaya street” (1956), “Two Fedor” (1958), “July rain” (1966) and others.
