The meeting of the dissertation Council of the Ural Federal University (Urfu), which had to consider the issue of deprivation of a scientific degree of the doctor of historical Sciences, Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, postponed to a later date. About it RBC have informed in a press-service of the Ministry of culture.

In a press-service of the Ministry of culture said that the next meeting will be scheduled within two months. The decision to transfer made in the course of voting members of the academic Council, the reason was a letter with a request to change the date of the meeting of the Higher attestation Commission.

The Chairman of Urfu academic Council on historical Sciences, doctor of historical Sciences Dmitry Redin said at the meeting that the Council had received letters with a request for postponement from the head of the Ministry of culture and from the higher attestation Commission (VAK) of the Ministry of education. The Commission, in particular, explained that Medina had planned to attend the meeting, but could not come because it is now part of the Russian delegation at the forum in Kazakhstan, reports “Interfax”.

Redin admitted that if at the second meeting of the Medina will also not be able to attend, it will be held without the participation of the Minister.

That the academic Council of the Ural Federal University will consider a request for deprivation of Medina degree, 17 September the expert community Discerned Ivan Babitsky, who has submitted an application to the Ministry of education on deprivation of the head of the culture degree.
