During the counterterrorist operation (CTO) in the Tabasaran district of Dagestan, security forces killed three militants. Among them was the organizer of the explosion at a traffic police checkpoint in Derbent district of the region in February this year. This is stated in the message of the National antiterrorist Committee, received by RBC.
FSB commandos had discovered militants near the village of Akka. The security forces asked them to surrender, but the gunmen opened fire. In the shootout the FSB eliminated three people, themselves law enforcement officers has not suffered.
Among the dead militants was the leader of the “Tabasaran” gang Magomedali Orujov. According to the NAC, he was the organizer of the explosion on dzhemikentskaya the DPS office in February and the murder of two policemen in March this year.

On a place of detection of militants, the security forces found weapons and ammunition. Now are conducted operatively-search actions and investigative actions.
The CTO regime in the Tabasaran district of Dagestan was introduced on the morning of 2 October. During the operation, according to the NAC, there was no casualties among civilians and personnel of law enforcement agencies.
