Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov has denied the information on the restoration of air links between Russia and Egypt in October. In an interview with TV channel “Russia 24”, he called it “rumors”.
Information about the possible resumption of flights to Egypt in October reported by TASS, citing a source close to the Russian Ministry of transport. According to the interviewee, this term was discussed during the visit of the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov in Egypt.
“It’s really a rumor. Though I can say that the Egyptian colleagues have done quite a lot, a big step towards establishing international standards for aviation security,” said 30 Sep falcons.
During the meeting with the Minister of civil aviation of Egypt by Sherif Fathi on September 27, the Russian delegation visited all three of the Egyptian airport. Maxim Sokolov also said that the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of civil aviation security between Russia and Egypt could be signed before the end of the current year, reports TASS.

Now and our and Egyptian sides are domestic procedures, also hope for their early signing. Expect that before the end of the year to sign,” — said the Minister.
