MOSCOW, September 28 – RIA Novosti. State Museum of fine arts (GMII) Pushkin will arrange two large-scale exhibitions in Japan in 2018, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Director of the Museum Marina Loshak.
“In 2018, we have planned two large-scale exhibitions in Japan, and in early 2019 we open our exhibition the 200th anniversary of the Prado Museum. These are the most important projects,” said Loshak.
She noted that, also in Moscow, the Museum will arrange the exhibition of Japanese art, which will become “an absolute hit 2018.
“Japan is our traditional partner. Every five years we do a tour, we were very much, they know us, and this relationship is not one-sided,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
Also in 2018, the Museum will host a major exhibition of works by Francisco Goya from the collection of the Prado Museum in Spain, it will take “all the main axis of the Museum”, and in 2019 the exhibition of the Pushkin Museum will open on the 200th anniversary of the Prado.
“The things we carry in the Prado, very familiar to all. It was the desire of the Prado, so we opened this show, and we dearly love this Museum, which we have our own ways of working, readily agreed to this and are now completing the list of works that were there present”, — said Loshak.
