MOSCOW, September 26 — RIA Novosti. The Chairman of the government Dmitry Medvedev noted the contribution of the Russian Jewish Congress (RJC) in the struggle against revisionism of the history of the Second world war and also opposition organizations xenophobia, anti-Semitism and extremism.
RIVERS — the largest secular Jewish organization in Russia — in Moscow holds the gala evening dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the organization. The event was attended by famous politicians, figures of culture and business.
“It is important that you are always firmly resist the attempts of revision of history of the Second world war, to defend the truth about the tragic events of the past. Doing everything possible to such barbarity as the Holocaust can never be repeated,” — said in announced on the evening the message of the head of the government.
Medvedev noted that “this sincere position of the Russian Jewish Congress deserves sincere respect and support.” In Russia, in his words, “appreciate the consistent efforts of Congress to preserve the cultural diversity of our country.”
