PARIS, September 26 — RIA Novosti. The leader of the opposition of the French party “national front” marine Le Pen has told RIA Novosti that in case of a victory on presidential election in France, it recognizes the Crimea as Russian territory.
In February 2016 marine Le Pen announced his decision to run as a candidate for the French presidency elections in 2017, the first round of which is scheduled for April 23. In may, she said in an interview with RT France that Paris could recognize the legitimacy of the reunification of the Crimea with Russia if she will take the post of head of state.
“Given the historic realities as well as a choice that was clearly expressed in the referendum of accession I in the event of his election, recognize Crimea as Russian territory,” — said Le Pen.
“European sanctions, a blockade or even failures in the supply of “Mistral” Russia is not only contrary to the interests of France, but also violates our centuries-old tradition of power, which are not equal to others,” said Le Pen, adding that relations between Russia and France are important in a multipolar world and necessary for the resolution of international crises.
According to experts, the main struggle in the election will be between former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and former Prime Minister Alain Juppe.
