The former owner of Sobinbank, the founder of the Russian mortgage Bank and co-founder of coffee houses “Coffeemania” Sergey Kirilenko received up to 5% of the shares in the company “Fashionable continent” (brands Incity, Deseo) and joined the Board of Directors. He told “Kommersant” that the Board of Directors, he was invited by the main shareholder of “Fashion continent” — a family of ex-Governor of the Tula region and one of the founders of the retail chain Vladimir Gruzdev. His parents, wife, two sons and daughter owns about 65% of the “Fashionable continent”. The representative of the “Fashionable continent” explained the publication that Kirilenko joined the Board of Directors of the company, becoming a minority shareholder of the company. As reported in the press service of the retailer, we are talking about a package of up to 5% of the shares, without saying who is the previous owner of the shares. Kirilenko confirmed this information. “It’s a small investment the deal,” he said. Kirilenko also expressed the view that “Fashionable continent” is one of the most promising assets in the retail market.

A source close to the retailer suggested that in the future, Kirilenko may purchase or become a nominal holder of shares Gruzdev. However, the ex-owner of Sobinbank denies it, assuring that we are not talking about the further expansion of its package of shares.
