The language of ultimatums parliamentary diplomacy impossible, told reporters the head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, commenting on the statement about the possible withdrawal of Ukraine from the PACE if the law of the Russian Federation will be restored.
Matvienko made following the meeting with President of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt.
“This is an example of when no dialogue, no arguments, and, excuse me, a dictatorship, this is unacceptable for us, we so language dictates not speak, the second, of course, what confuses me is that the Executive power interferes in the activities of the legislative power… the Different branches of government, independent, the Verkhovna Rada may make such statements, although, of course, they are not constructive, provocative,” — said Matvienko.
She noted that many members of the PACE with which she managed to talk, accepted the statement of the Kiev negatively.
“The dictatorship — it is an ultimatum. The language of ultimatums parliamentary diplomacy is impossible and can not talk,” — said Matvienko.
On Monday, the foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin stated that Ukraine may refuse to work in PACE if restore the credentials of the Russian delegation in this organization.
