Parliamentary elections in Belarus acknowledged held

The Central election Commission of Belarus has recognized parliamentary election in the country. According to data published on the website of the elections, the voter turnout as of 14:00 Moscow time amounted to 52,49%.

Due to the fact that the turnout exceeded the required 50%, the elections can be considered valid.

In the Brest region voted 50,16% of voters, Vitebsk – 58,17%, Gomel – 59,01%, Grodno – 53,66%, Minsk – 51,54% and in Mogilev – of 57.35%.

In Minsk voted 41,93% of voters, and outside of Belarus – 52,16%.

On 11 September, citizens of Belarus elect deputies to the House of representatives (the lower chamber of the Belarusian Parliament). Polling stations across the country will be open until 20:00.
