The presidents of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama hold a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the summit of “Big twenty” in China, Hangzhou, reports TASS. The event is closed to the press.

Putin and Obama exchanged a handshake, then shook hands with the participants of both delegations and they sat down at the negotiating table opposite each other.

At the meeting, the parties present US Secretary of state John Kerry. From the Russian side the meeting involved the head of the Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov and press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, said “RIA Novosti”

That personal meeting of Putin and Obama is scheduled on Monday, September 5, before said Sands. However, he said that the parties have not yet decided on the format of the talks.

Later the representative of the Kremlin said that Putin and Obama several times managed up to briefly chat at the G20 summit.
