The Norwegian coast guard arrested a fishing vessel from Murmansk

The Norwegian coast guard near Svalbard have arrested a Russian commercial ship M-0239 “Melkart.” About this is spoken in the message on the website of the Barents-white sea territorial administration Rosrybolovstva.

The reason for the arrest “Melkart” was the release of aquatic bioresources overboard when fishing. The Department indicated that the emissions were recorded on video by the coast guard plane to Norway.

A similar case was recorded with the Russian fishing vessel in may 2016, said the Agency.

In management reminded about the need to comply with fishing regulations, fishing restrictions and other measures established by the legislation of the Russian Federation and international treaties of the Russian Federation in the field of fishery and preservation of water bioresources. Failure to comply with restrictions will result in fines and downtime of vessels.
